Stop #1: Vega Fina Cigar Factory
Stop #2 Altos de Chavon
We’ve got you out of your hotel, and we’re going to take full advantage. Step back in time at Altos de Chavon, a replica of a 16th century stone village, and a cultural center of this part of the country. Take in the breathtaking views of the Chavon River as you peruse the many shops and the Roman amphitheatre. Check out the largest collection of Taino artifacts in the country and don’t miss the samples at the museum of chocolate!
Stop #3 Toros del Este Home Game
The main event! Cheer on the Toros del Este in what is likely to be the most rowdy baseball game you’ve ever attended! This is more than a pastime here, it is a national passion. Look out for familiar faces from the MLB and check out up and coming talent. Enjoy a pica-pollo (fried chicken and fries) and cheap National beer. Make sure to keep your glove out – and watch out for that fly ball!!
